craft corner - healing my inner child

One of my most recent questionable decisions may be starting a business and building a website in the midst of moving with my husband and (almost) one year old to our new home.  It's a blessing and a curse, because despite the chaos lately, I am grateful to be making a designated space in the new home for crafting.  The room will also function as our office, but given the fact that my previous art setup was a Tetris stack of craft bins in the closet-- half of a room is a major and much appreciated upgrade.

So far I've set up a super wobbly craft desk ($20 - Facebook Marketplace) that has lots of storage and shelves-- love that for us.  I'm currently trying to convince my husband to let me keep this  big cube organizer I obtained (Free - Facebook Marketplace), because it would be perfect for holding inventory!  Decision pending.  Inventory location to be determined.

We are still moving in our computers and desks, and there is still a long way to go, but my little craft corner is coming along; and working on it these last few weeks has been like hugging my child self.  I think it's so important, while we focus so hard on our businesses (or whatever our focus is) to remember that kid in us who would be blown away to see how far we've come, and heal that part of us as we continue to grow.

Do you have a space, or maybe routine, that helps you heal your child self?  Let me know-- let's connect!
